Turn your existing

quad into an airframe with integrated brushless gimbal. The upgrade will turn your QAV500 into the same airframe as the QAV540G, but with the slightly shorter 500 size arms. You can even decide to get an "extended arm kit" to turn your QAV500 into a full QAV540G.
Included in the upgrade kit
New "Clean Frame" plates with gimbal motor mounting facility
QAV540G Gimbal assembly for GoPro 1, 2, and 3
2x 2208 iFlight Gimbal Motors
Aluminum stand-off hardware for your FPV Flight Camera
Additional components that are not included
FM-4006
or the
Tiger Motor MT-4006
FPV Manuals 30amp SimonK ESC
LayerLens GoPro lens protection
.
Please Note
You will need a QAV500 frame with its frame plates, arms, and hardware to complete this upgrade. You will no longer need the original "Clean Frame" plates of your QAV500 after the upgrade.
The benefit of the QAV540G versus an upgraded QAV500 is that the QAV540G provides you with additional prop clearance between the front right prop tip and the outside of the gimbal by using extended arms. If you have extremely hard landings (or light crashes), it is possible for the left prop tip to bind with the gimbal which may break your prop.
