Nearly 5 foot wingspan USAF trainer with electronic retracts
The Texan trained a lot of military pilots and provided a transition to the powerful fighters that were taking on the enemy. This Texan is a great intermediate level airplane with powerful performance and solid handling characteristics. The retractable landing gear are electronic servoless units that are reliable and robust, they are spring loaded and shock absorbing. The construction is pre-decorated EPO foam with a very smooth finish and attractive paintwork. The control surfaces are pin hinged for long life and superior operation. The airplane takes only an hour to assemble; you only need to add your 6-channel receiver and 4-cell LiPo battery to be ready to fly. You can make the flaps operational with the addition of 2 micro servos, the location is pre-molded into the wing and the necessary control horns and pushrod are already included with the airplane. The fun starts when you get to the flying field. With more than 1 to 1 thrust to weight ratio, aerobatic flight is a breeze, at reduced throttle the airplane flies in a scale manner and really commands the sky. It has a predictable stall and its wide stance landing gear give it great ground handling characteristics. Big enough to see easily, small enough to transport, the Texan will quickly become your favorite airplane to fly.
