Tamiya DB-01 chassis is based on the competition level TRF501X off-road 4WD chassis kit. The same drive-train and suspension geometry that was devolped for the 501 are incorporated into the DB-01.
Features:
Chassis: DB01R plastic chassis with integrated bulkheads for simplified maintenance, chassis also locates heavy components near the center for optimum weight distribution
Drive: Four wheel two belt drive, tension adjustable, enclosed with
ABS resin covers to protect from dirt
Ball Bearings: Full set included
Shocks: High performance aeration oil filled provide progressive damping effect for smooth movement over small bumps and absorption of heavy shocks from rough terrain
Gearboxes: Enclosed, front and rear
Differentials: Ball type
Transmission: Single speed
Motor Mount: Aluminum diecast and aluminum heatsink
Suspension: Four wheel independent double wishbone with high-traction arms, aluminum mounts, same configuration as the Tamiya TRF501X chassis
Caster: Adjustable, caster/toe-in refers to the angle of the front suspension when viewed from the side of the car in relation to the chassis
Camber: Adjustable, camber refers to the angle of the tops of the tires from vertical when viewed from front or behind vehicle
Steering: Bell-crank with servo saver
Since its release, the Tamiya DB-01 has had many options released for
the kit. Tamiya now offers a DB-01R (R=Racing) that has 90% of these
option parts included in one neat package at an affordable price point.
