The Cyclone-E is an ELECTRIC 2-metre rocket ship!
Not intended as a first electric sailplane, the Cyclone-E does offer sparkling performance, yet she is a very capable thermal soaring machine. For experienced flyers, the Cyclone-E is very agile, has no vices, yet is capable of amazing performance and generally handles like it’s on rails!
Able to fly in almost any conditions and equipped with a full house complement of ailerons, rudder, elevator and flaps, plus the motor, the Cyclone-E can perform leisurely aerobatics or become a hair-raising, jaw-aching rocket by opening up the throttle, yet it will still slow down to hand-catch speed for landings.
The rudder & elevator servos are located in a well just behind the wing leaving the front end completely open for electrics, battery and motor installation. Speaking of power, the Cyclone-E begs for our Turnigy DT38 Hotliner motor - Direct drive with 1700watts gets this model moving - briskly!!
