The transmitter and receiver have been upgraded to 2.4Ghz technology, which is more reliable and allows many models to be used at the same time without having to change crystals in MHz tx systems.
This would be a great model to buy if you're thinking of taking a first step into the world of tail rotor helis, they're a little more challenging than the co-axial models but much easier to fly than the more advanced 6ch rc helicopters.
