The Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk is a U.S. Airforce stealth ground attack aircraft. Its unique design was secretly worked out to deflect radar signals. This model is capable of high speed and aerobatics including loops, rolls and vertical climbing. If you want to have a radio controlled jet that cannot help but attract attention, then the F-117 Nighthawk is the plane for you!
The Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk is a stealth ground attack aircraft formerly operated by the United States Air Force. The F-117A's first flight was in 1981, and it achieved initial operating capability status in October 1983. The F-117 was a 'black' project, an ultra-secret program for much of its life, until the late 1980s.
The F-117 is shaped to deflect radar signals and is about the size of an F-15 Eagle. The single-seat Nighthawk is powered by two non-afterburning General Electric F404 turbofan engines, and has quadruple-redundant fly-by-wire flight controls. It shares many components with the F-16 Fighting Falcon, F/A-18 Hornet and F-15E Strike Eagle.
What does PNP mean? PNP stands for plug and play, and describes a model that is somewhere between Almost Ready to Fly (ARF) and Ready to Fly (RTF). A PNP model has the motor, ESC, servos and some radio gear installed but is missing the receiver, transmitter, batteries and charger.

Among the penalties for stealth are lower engine power thrust, due to losses in the inlet and outlet, a very low wing aspect ratio, and a high sweep angle (50°) needed to deflect incoming radar waves to the sides. With these design considerations and no afterburner, the F-117 is limited to subsonic speeds.
Starmax have worked their usual wonders in the finish and design of this foam structured plane. The fuselage is both strong and extremely light, designed to withstand the occasional crash landing. It is complete with a detailed paint job, and factory affixed decals to complete the realistic look of your F-117 Stealth fighter.
However, not only does it look fantastic, it is an amazing aerobatic aircraft, and capable of incredible speed. This model of this infamous jet fighter has got a 70mm ducted fan and automatic landing gear. The power that this plane packs allows it to perform a full aerobatic display: inside loops, outside loops, axial rolls, inverted flight, knife edge, stall turns, hammerheads, and spins are all possible. If you're really good you will be able to perform the famous 'Cobra Manoeuvre' with this Nighthawk. The videos show you just how capable it is!
This Nitrotek jet is also equipped with a powerful brushless motor, for the best performance. The plane is made from strong but lightweight foam that is more resistant to crashes and gives easier stable flight even in windy conditions. This aeroplane can take off from the ground or can be hand launched.
This plane is 90% assembled and so only a few minutes of final finishes are needed, and a few additional components before you can fly. Also most of what you need is in the box, apart from 8 AA batteries, transmitter, receiver, Li-po battery and charger.
