Jason Says:, "Awesome scale details, control surfaces everywhere, this Euro is a keeper.", Technical Specifications:, Eurofighter 360 TV w/Servoless Retracts ARF Specs:, Thrust:, 84-1/2 oz. (on 6 cells),
Extreme aerobatic thrust vector jet, now with V3 scale electronic retracts and servo operated sequenced nose gear door
In our ongoing effort to keep making the eRC planes better and better the new Eurofighter now has new scale electronic retracts that are all machined aluminum and have improved scale appearance. The nose gear now has a sequenced servo driven gear door that operates at a scale like speed. The main gear has metal wheel collars for worry free wheel retention.
The newest version of the Eurofighter has new matte finish paint and the retracts are upgraded to servoless electronic type that do not require any endpoint adjustments or critical setup. The fully functioning canards (each with their own servo) and the 360 degree thrust vectoring makes it possible to perform maneuvers that aren't possible with other jets. Like other eRC products, the Eurofighter is packed with modeler-pleasing extras like a detailed cockpit, Midnight Flyers LED light set, and servoless retractable landing gear with suspension. Also included is 90mm ducted fan, outrunner brushless motor, 85 amp controller with switch mode BEC, and 8 pre-installed servos.
37-1/2 in. wingspan, 55 in. long, 630 sq. in. wing area (approx.), 79 oz. flying weight, approximately 84-1/2 oz. thrust on 6 cells. The Eurofighter Typhoon was designed with the R/C pilot in mind and includes full functioning canards, each with its own servo. These, combined with the dual 360 degree thrust vectoring nozzles, bring a new level of control to the extreme EDF pilot. The single 90mm fan and 1500 watt outrunner motor provides 1-to-1 thrust when mated to a quality 6-cell lipo battery of about 3700 mAh. The airframe is set up to use either a single 6S pack or two 3S packs in series (the series connector with genuine Deans Ultra plugs is included). Battery access is quick and easy, the super detailed cockpit is magnetically attached.
Assembly takes only a few hours; most of the work has already been done for you. The photo-illustrated step-by-step instructions walk you through the build process including the programming of a 7-channel Spektrum radio. All control throw settings are clearly shown as well as CG information. Jet includes 8 pre-installed 9-gram servos. The ESC is an 85 amp unit with a 5 amp switch mode BEC. Electronic retracts have scale-like aluminum struts with spring suspension to soften the impact of landing. 7 pre-installed LEDs really add to the scale appearance both on the flight line and in the air.
The saying goes "bigger flies better" and it certainly is true here. The big Eurofighter's performance is rock solid until you want it to be crazy. Then it goes wild, capable of just about anything that your thumbs can come up with. Dizzying flat spins with a low altitude pull out to a slow Harrier across the flight line. Then punch it for a solid climb out and perhaps a flip or corkscrew and a point roll or two. Landings are beautiful to perform, the nose-high approach looks full scale and ground handling is excellent.
